The Excellence in Education Foundation houses and administers a variety of funds to benefit the students and teachers of the district. Individuals, community organizations and school groups may establish funds for specific and restricted purposes that fit within Foundation guidelines.
Those are referred to as Restricted Funds. Individual schools may establish Excellence in Education Funds to augment academic programs and address the needs of that specific campus. Scholarship Funds may be established as memorials, or for discreet educational purposes.
All Restricted Funds are held separately on the books of the Foundation and administered according to the criteria established by the fund. RISD
